i'm not sure how i feel about online answer sites. there is certainly a market/audience for them and i understand the appeal of posting a question anonymously and getting rather quick answers from a variety of people. in a library setting you are generally asking your question face to face with a librarian, and i personally would never feel comfortable providing relationship advice or any other extremely personal advice to any of our patrons. this is where i think online answer sites are really useful. as long as people don't forget about their libraries, i see no reason to treat people as though they can't figure a few things out on their own.
